Big Al, the newest edition to Jim's reptiles, is an Aldabra Tortoise.  He is the largest of Jim's reptiles, weighing in at over 250 pounds.  This gentle giant species originates in the Seychelles Islands off the eastern coast of Africa, although Big Al was captive bred from a private breeder in San Diego, California.    Big Al has been with Jim Nesci since October 2005.  Big Al is a male tortoise and is 16 years old.   Generally speaking, an Aldabra Tortoise can live to be over 100 years old and an average female can weigh 350 pounds while an average male can be as large as 550 pounds.  Big Al is a big hit at Jim's shows due to his size and gentle nature with kids of all ages.

Lucky is a North Americn alligator.  He has been with Jim since 1996.  He was about 12 inches long and a yearling alligator when he was a refuge from a water sewage treatment plant.  Today Lucky weighs about 35 pounds and is 5 feet long.  Lucky has been a great addition to the show.  Because of his weight, members of the audience are able to hold him.  It has become a real crowd pleaser for children and adults  to actually hold a North American alligator!

Samantha is a burmese python used in Jim's show.  A unique and very beautiful snake who was rescued and brought to a Lake Forest Wildlife facility.  This snake provides real appeal to the show.  In every show the entire crowd gets to pet the snake and audience members get a thrill volunteering to hold the snake from end to end.

Blondie is an Albino Burmese Python and has a beautiful pale coloring, hence, the name "albino". Today Blondie is 13 feet long and weighs about 80 pounds.

Tank, an African Spurred Tortoise, is from from Central Africa.  Has been with Jim since he was the size of a silver dollar. Today he weighs over 55 pounds and is about 2 feet long. The African Spurred Tortoise is the largest of the continental tortoises. Tank generally leads off the Cold Blooded Creatures show because it allows the audience to feel very comfortable with the reptiles due to his extremely gentle nature.

Dragon is a large Monitor lizard from Indonesia and used in Jim's shows. Dragon is about 5 years old. He weighs in at 40 pounds and is about 6 ½ feet long.

Godzilla.... is a Black Throat Monitor lizard from Africa.  They are one of the largest African lizards,  reaching over 6 feet long.  They are known to eat venomous snakes and yet seem to have immunity to the bite of such snakes.
